Saturday saw another win for the both the Men's and Women's first teams, and plenty of goals in the Men's 3s match...
MEN'S 1 won 3-0 at home to University of Warwick 2
Goals: Rob Smith (3)
MEN'S 2 drew 4-4 away to Coventry & North Warwickshire 2
Goals: Simon Chapman (2) & Ben Langdown (2)
MEN'S 3 won 8-0 away to Nuneaton 2
Goals: Richard Goswell (3), Ben Sleeman (4) & George Smith
Great to say that the Men's 3s were back to winning ways with an 8-0 away win at Nuneaton!
Harborough soon dominated the game with Ben Sleeman and Richard Goswell getting 2 goals each in the first half. Our defence was hardly worried but Alex Osborne, Simon Scott and Rob Davies easily controlled the odd attack.
The second half was very similar with 2 more goals for Goswell and 1 for Sleeman. George Smith made it 8 to Harborough after going close on several occasions.
The Nuneaton keeper made some great saves with Toby Fletcher, Will Feavyour and David Littlewood all going close but not finding the net. Great team effort all round!
MEN'S 4 lost 1-6 at home to Towcester 2
Goal: Ant Raisbury
Men's 4 came up against a well organised Towcester side who were a marked improvement since we played them last year. Harborough quickly conceded a couple of goals before steadying the ship, but were 4-0 down at the break. Ant Raisbury scored one for Harborough from a PC to give the home fans a glimmer of hope. Despite playing some good hockey in the second half Towcester always seemed to have an extra man on the back post and scored two more before the final whistle. Onwards to the next match.
WOMEN'S 1 won 4-0 at home to Wellingborough 1
Goals: Niamh Burton, Charlie James & Hattie Hammond
Player of the Match: Ruby Howe
WOMEN'S 2 lost 0-4 away to Melton 1
Player of the Match: Emma Green
BADGERS won 2-1 at home to Welford
Goals: Daya Kaur & Ryan Bacon
