Club Update and Training Start Dates

As we near the start of the new season, we are now in a position to update you all about a couple of changes at the club.

We are pleased to welcome Jamie-Liam O’Connell to work with the Mens’ squad this season. To enable him to continue with the performance work he does elsewhere, there will need to be a swap round of training night for men’s and women’s training. Men’s training will now be on Tuesdays at 19:30-21:00 and women’s training will take place on Wednesdays at 19:30-21:00. James Webster (Men's 1s Captain) will coach the women’s squad,

Our Juniors will continue to train on Wednesdays at 17:30-19:00 led by Ant Raisbury. Ant has also been doing some outreach work in local schools to advertise our presence. In the near future we hope to start a weekend training slot for Juniors on Saturday mornings - details of this session will be shared when they are ready to go.

We have a new Treasurer from October! She has met with the Senior Committee and is already up to speed and ready to take on the stellar work until recently undertaken by our previous Treasurer - thanks again for all your hard work.

Our Welfare Officer has been in touch with Captains and Senior players to ensure DBS checks are up-to-date and to provide links to the Safe Hockey course provided by England Hockey (Safe Hockey Online Module). Participation in this will support our new coaching team and help to ensure a safe hockey season for all.

Finally, as the new season begins, the usual plea from Captains and coaches: please provide, as early possible, your availability to play.
